Item Details

An early 20th century, green jasper dip portrait medallion depicting King George the 5th. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and dates from c.1910. It is quite a rare plaque, although not of the best quality, as the relief is quite indistinct. This is possibly why it was not produced in any great quantity. It was one of two plaques designed by Herbert Hampton, for Wedgwood, in 1910 and it is signed “H. Hampton” in the white relief, just under the shoulder. It is in very good condition.
