A nice quality, 19th century copper penny top mould. This is English and it dates from c.1870. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper. The hexagonal mould has a row of overlapping circles to the top but it is quite unusual to find this design on this shape of mould. It also has a hexagonal, central pipe. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
