https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesA huge, 19th century, pottery jelly mould. Although this does not bear a manufacturers mark, it was made by Minton and it dates from c.1850. There is a number “10” incised in the base. The design consists of a small, stylised flower to the top surrounded by large petals which cover the side of the mould. This is a very attractive design, quite deeply moulded, which would turn out well but the mould would take a lot of jelly. A small chip, on the rim off the base, has been restored but otherwise the mould is in good condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 27.3cm. Height 18cm.
