Item Details

A nineteenth century ironstone jelly mould. This mould has a geometric design to the sides and there is a large “B & P” in the base. It would have been made for Brown and Polsons, for the production of a Brown and Polsons cornflour blanc-mange, and the design of the interior is the same as the moulds which have the recipe for the blanc-mange printed open the outside. It dates from c.1880 and is in excellent, usable condition.
