Item Details

A good quality, large, 19th century copper cake mould. This is made from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper, it is English and dates from c.1870. The design is quite simple, with two tiers each with eight fluted columns. There are no manufacturers marks but it is stamped with a pattern number “212”. A tiny hole has been pierced in the rim. This is possibly from where a hanger has been attached in the past. The mould is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
