A large, 19th century, French copper ladle. This is made from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It has a very simple form of copper handle which is attached by copper rivets. It was probably made for measuring dry ingredients as there is no sign of the interior ever having been tinned. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Length overall 39cm. Depth of ladle 10.8cm. Diameter of ladle 11.1cm.
