Item Details

A large, and very attractive, 19th century French copper mould with a central pipe. This is marked “E. DEHILLERIN PARIS 18 RUE COQUILLIERE” but the mark has been badly struck and a part of it is not fully visible. The mould is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. The design consists of an ornate top, which alternates between pointed and rounded shapes, and these are above a central fluted section and a wide, plain base. There is slight marking to the copper, on the plain rim, but generally the mould is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, has slight wear but it is still usable.
