Item Details

A 19th century, English copper shallow saute pan and cover. The lid is marked ”JONES BROS DOWN ST. W.” within a circular stamp, and it dates from c.1870. It is quite unusual to find shallow saute pans with covers and this is quite a large example. It is well made, from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper, and it is in excellent condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter of pan 28cm. Depth of pan 4cm. Overall length of pan and handle 52.6cm.
