This is made from a very heavy gauge of copper, it has castellated seams around the base and up both ends and it dates from c.1860. It has steel handles to both ends, and an attractive, flat form steel handle with heart shaped terminals to the lid. Generally it is in very good condition but one corner of the lid has taken a knock and is slightly flattened. This can be seen in the images. The tinning to the interior is slightly worn but this size and shape would be great to use as a bread bin, for which it is still suitable.
Dimensions: Length of pan 37cm. Width 22.2cm. Depth 18cm. Overall length including he handles 50cm. Overall height 27cm.
