Item Details

A large, 19th century, French copper funnel. This is well made, from quite a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1850. There are castellated seams which run around the side of the funnel, and from here to the rim, and the spout has been riveted into place using copper rivets. The rim of the funnel is wired and there is a large, brass ring, for hanging, which is attached by a simple copper fitting. There are two splits in the rim and there is very minor denting to the copper. The tinning to the interior is very worn.
