Item Details

A large, three part, Victorian, pewter, ice cream banquet or pillar mould. All three parts are stamped with a large letter “E” which would possible relate to a previous owner. There are no manufacturers marks but the base is stamped with “14 1/2” over “3”. The number 3 possible relates to the capacity as being 3 pints. The mould dates from c.1870. The top section is moulded with a group of fruits and this sits above fluted sides. The design is very well detailed and would turn out well. The mould is in good condition with just a few very minot dents to the foot. The interior is in very good, bright, usable condition and the exterior has a dark patina.
Dimensions: Diameter at the foot 12cm. Height 17cm.
