Item Details

A rare, large, mid 19th century pastry or pasta tool. This could have been used for trimming the rim of a pie or for cutting strips of pastry or pasta. It is very unusual due to both its size its construction. The wheel and fittings are made from steel, which has been tin coated, and they are attached to the turned beechwood handle with a bone fitting. It dates from c.1850 and is in very good, usable condition.
Dimensions: Length 32.2cm. Diameter of wheel 8.5cm. Diameter of handle 2.5cm.
