Item Details

An eighteenth century, polychrome, Dutch Delft plate. This is quite lightly potted and it dates from c.1750. It is well decorated, in shades of blue, green, iron red, manganese and ochre, with flowers in a garden setting. To the rim is a stylised border of plants and rocks. This design is influenced by the Chinese designs which were very popular at the time. It is in very good condition with just the usual wear to the glaze, on the rim, which one would expect on a piece of 18th century Delft.
