Item Details

A super quality, 19th century, beechwood breadboard. This is English and it dates from c.1880. The border is deeply carved with flowers, barley and leaves against a stipple background and the carving has beautiful detail. There were some wood worm holes in this board but they have been treated and filled so they are barely noticeable. Over the years the board has developed a very dark patina. It is in very good condition with just the usual knife marks to the face of the board from use.
Dimensions: Diameter 30.5cm. Depth 2.2cm.
