Item Details

A super quality, early 20th century breadknife with a carved wooden handle. The blade is marked “TAYLOR WITNESS SHEFFIELD STAINLESS” and it dates from c.1920. It is also engraved with “Bread Knife” in an elaborate script and cartouche. The handle is beautifully carved, in sycamore, with ivy, hops and barley. The carving is very deep and very well detailed. The piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Length 34.4cm. Width of blade 3.2cm. Diameter of handle 3.2cm.
