Item Details

A 19th century, mahogany gesso or sugar mould. Although this mould could be used for gesso or sugar it is more likely to originally have been carved for use with gesso as the design is one which is commonly used for picture frames. It is deeply carved with a simple, laurel and berry border. It is English, dates from c.1860, and is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Length 34.2cm. Width 5cm. Depth 5.5cm.
