Item Details

A nice quality, miniature, 19th century, French copper, oblong casserole. This would have been made as a travellers sample as the interior was tinned to show how they would have been for use. It is an exact replica of the full size versions, with nicely shaped brass handles to the ends and also to the lid. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, has brased seams and it dates from c.1890. There is very minor denting around the base but otherwise it is in very good condition. The tinning to the interior is now worn.
