Item Details

A Minton, dust pressed tile from the Fairy Tale series. This is marked, in the casting, “MINTONS CHINA WORKS STOKE IN TRENT” beneath the globe mark with “MINTON” across the centre, surrounded by “STOKE UPON TRENT WALBROOK LONDON”. This series was designed by Moyr Smith and the tile dates from c.1880. It is printed, in blue, and titled “JACK AND THE BEANSTALK” and it is signed “J M S”. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: 15.2cm. square by 1cm. thick.
