Item Details

A 19th century, dust pressed, Minton tile from the Shakespearian series. This is marked, in the casting, “MINTON’S CHINA WORKS, STOKE ON TRENT” and it dates from c.1880. It is printed, in brown on a beige background, with a scene from Macbeth, Act V, Scene VII. This Shakespearian series was designed by Moyr Smith and the tile is signed “IMS” within the print. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: 15.2cm. square by 1cm. thick.
