https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesAn eighteenth century, creamware jelly mould with a Prince of Wales Feathers to the base. This is English, it is well potted, with excellent detail and depth to the design, and it dates from c.1790. The border design was used frequently in the late 18th and early 19th century and it is known as the loop and pin, or egg and dart design. Unfortunately there is damage to this mould. Originally it had three peg feet but one is now missing so it doesn’t stand up straight. There are also three chips to the rim. This can all be seen in the images.
Dimensions: Length 16cm. Width 11cm. Depth 5.5cm.
