Item Details

A very simple, 19th century, sycamore breadboard. This is English and it dates from c.1890. The border is carved with four long leaves and this carving is now quite worn. There are two pieces missing from the reverse of the board, which is possibly from small burns, and there is a further piece missing where there is a knot in the wood. The wood has a very beautiful, pale patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 30cm. Depth 1.8cm.
