Item Details

A pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a corn on the cob. This size of ice cream mould, which would turn out a life-size corn on the cob, is uncommon and hard to find compared to the small versions. This example, which has excellent detail in the design, is unmarked and it dates from c.1870. The hinge is a little loose but otherwise it is in good condition. The interior, although quite dark, is still in usable condition and the exterior has a dark patina.
Dimensions: Length 20.8cm. Width 7cm. Depth when closed 5.2cm.
