Item Details

A nineteenth century, three part pewter ice cream mould with a pile of currents to the top. This is marked, to the base, “BENNINGTON JERMYN ST” and it dates from c.1860. I’m not sure if Bennington was the manufacture or the retailer as I can find no record of the London based company. The design is well modelled and the sides of the mould are fluted. The base of the mould is slightly dented, worn and a little loose and the top also has slight denting. However, the interior of the mould is still in good, usable condition and the exterior has a dark patina.
