Item Description
A good quality, 19th century, pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a bunch of asparagus. This is English and it dates from c.1870. It is made in four parts. The two central parts are hinged together and the lid and base complete the form. The design is very well detailed and the mould is well made. There is a lug on the rim of the mould which locates into a cut out in the lid so that the spears of asparagus line up perfectly when moulded. It is in very good condition. The exterior has a dark patina and the interior is still in good, usable condition.
Dimensions: Height 18.5cm. Diameter at base 10.3cm. Width 13.5cm.
