Item Details

A late 19th century, pewter sorbetiere for making ice cream. This is English and it dates from c.1880. There is slight denting to both the canister and the lid, from use. This is quite common, as pewter is such a soft metal, and it can be seen in the images.
Dimensions: The container measures 24cm deep by 13.3cm diameter, so it is quite a large capacity, and the overall height including the handle is 31.5cm.
