Item Details

A silver plated hatelet skewer with the end nicely shaped as a sword. Hatelets were used for ornamenting food, both sweet and savoury dishes. This example has a mark on the skewer but it is quite illegible. The skewer is French and it dates from c.1880. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Length 21.5cm. Width 3.3cm. Depth 0.5cm.
