Item Description
A very small, but relatively deep, 19th century, French copper egg whisking bowl. This is marked “E BAUMIER TOULON (VAR)” which could be the mark of the retailer. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, which has a slightly planished finish, and it dates from c.1870. A copper ring handle is attached, by a heart shaped copper fitting, so that the bowl can hang when not in use. Egg bowls of this small size are quite hard to find, especially in this shape, and this example is in excellent condition.
