Item Details

A small, 19th century, French copper pie dish or gratin. This could be used either for making a small pie or for a vegetable gratin. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It has a rolled rim and there are two large brass ring handles attached, one to either side, so that it can hang when not in use. There are a few small scratches to the base, from use, but generally it is in very good condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter 17.8cm. Depth 2.6cm. Width across the handle fittings 19cm.
