https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesA fairly small, 19th century, French copper salmon kettle. This is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It has castellated seams around the base and up one end, a rolled rim, and the typical French style of brass handles to either end. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn so it is no longer good for cooking in. However, this shape makes a super jardiniere for pots of herbs on a kitchen windowsill or for a flower display on a table.
Dimensions: Length of pan 52.5cm. Width 15.8cm. Overall length including the handles 55.4cm. Overall height including the handles 15.2cm.
