Item Description
A good quality, small, 19th century, French copper daubiere or brasing pan. This is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1860. It has wide, castellated seams around the base and up the sides and attractively shaped brass handles to the sides of the pan and also to the lid. The raised rim on the lid is designed so that you could put coals into it and the contents of the pan would cook slowly from both beneath and above. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Length of pan 29.6cm. Overall length including the handles 38cm. Width of pan 16.7cm. Overall width of the lid 20.5cm. Depth of pan 17cm. Overall height 21.7cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £40. Most of Western Europe add £20.
