Item Details

A small, Wedgwood black basalt spill vase. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1860. There are also two other, small impressed marks but they have not been struck well so they are not discernible. The vase is sprig moulded with two of the Muses standing between trees and foliage. To the rim is a classical border of scrolls and flowers. This is a good quality piece and it is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 10cm. Diameter 5.6cm.
