Item Details

A small, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip bud vase. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. There are also a couple of small, indistinct, impressed marks. The vase is decorated, in white relief, with two different classical figure groups, including the “Three Graces”, and the groups are divided by anthemion. To the neck is a band of acanthus leaves. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a good, rich shade of blue. The vase is in very good condition but there are a couple of firing lines in the white relief on the arms of two of the Graces.
Dimensions: Height 13.2cm. Diameter 7cm.
