Item Details

An unusual, drab coloured stoneware pot and cover with white relief decoration. This is marked “Spode” and it dates from c.1830. It is also impressed with a number ”5”. The drab coloured stoneware body has a slight smear glaze and it is sprig moulded with scenes showing putti at play. To the rim is a border of flowers. The reliefs are all very good quality and both the pot and lid are in excellent condition.
