Item Details

A late 19th century steel bread knife with a carved wooden handle. The blade is stamped “SKIPPER. S.HIBBERT & SON CUTLERS SHEFFIELD”. This mark was in use from 1892, when the company was established, until 1898 when S.Hibbert died. The sycamore handle is well carved with flowers and foliage against a stipple background. The piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Length 32.8cm. Width of blade 3cm. Diameter of handle 2.6cm.
