Item Details

A 19th century steel ice or sugar cleaver in the shape of a fox. This is French and it dates from c.1880. The shape of the fox is quite naive in style and the handle is a combination of brass and horn. The steel blade is very heavily pitted, with use, and the horn section of the handle is also showing a lot of wear.
Dimensions: Length 30cm. Height 13cm. Width of handle 1.5cm.
