This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number “208”. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. The design is very elaborate for a large mould. It consists of a rope twist top above eight columns which have rounded tops. At the base the columns are divided by further columns and the overall effect is very pleasing. The mould is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
Dimensions: Height 17.5cm. Diameter 16.5cm.
