Item Details

A stunning quality, 19th century, sycamore breadboard. This is English and dates from c.1860. The border is beautifully carved with hops, against a stipple background, wheat, barley, grapes and ribbons. The carving is very deep and of exceptional quality and this board has probably been kept in a cabinet as a show piece as it is in remarkably good condition with just a couple of light scratch marks to the face. It is certainly one of the best breadboards that we have ever seen.
