Item Details

A late 19th century sycamore breadboard. This is English and it dates from c.1890. The border is carved with the word “Bread”, in a Gothic script, a small flower and long leaves. There are the usual knife marks to both the face and the reverse of the board, from use, but generally it is in very good condition. The wood has an attractive, pale patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 27.2cm. Depth 1.8cm.
