Item Details

An unusual, 19th century, sycamore breadboard. This is carved, in a Gothic script, with “A Wedding Gift”. The remainder of the border is nicely carved with a lucky horse shoe and wedding bells, and large leaves. The board dates from c.1870 and is in very good condition. There is scratching to both the face and the reverse of the board, from use, and the carved border is nicely worn.
Dimensions: Diameter 29.5cm. Depth 2cm.
