Item Details

A lovely quality, 19th century, sycamore breadboard with a carved border. This is stylistically carved with ferns and flowers. The carving is quite deep and it is still in excellent condition, with very little wear. The board is English, it dates from c.1880 and it is in good condition with no cracks or splits. There is very minor scratching, to both the face and the reverse of the board, from use and there are two wood worm holes which have been filled. The wood has a lovely, honey coloured patina.
