Item Details

An attractive, 19th century copper mould. This does not have any manufacturers marks but it is stamped with a pattern number “17”. It is well made, from quite a heavy gauge of copper, and it has a castellated seam up the side. It is English and dates from c.1860. The design consists of two tiers, the large middle tier has six rounded topped columns and the top tier has six smaller columns surrounded by swags. There is some minor scratching to the copper but generally it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
