Item Details

A large, pottery mould in the shape of a lion. This is marked, in green transfer print, with “G B” to either side of a crown, above “WINTON” across a globe, above “STOKE ON TRENT”. This is the mark of the Grimwade pottery and it dates from c.1910. It is also printed with “THE BRITISH LION BLANC-MANGE & JELLY MOULD” around the rim. The mould is quite well detailed and it would turn out well. It is in excellent, usable condition.
