Item Details

A very unusual, double ended, 19th century, French butter print. This is turned from boxwood and both ends are carved with geometric designs. It dates from c.1840. There is a letter “R” engraved on one end and this is probably the initial of a previous owner. There are splits in the wood at both ends and this can be seen in the images. The wood has a lovely patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 3.8cm. Length 9cm.
