Item Details

An unusual, 19th century, English copper bowl. This is stamped, to the interior of the base “G. RESTALL”. I do not know of a copper manufacturer by this name so it is more likely to be the name of a previous owner. This was probably, originally made as a preserve pan but it is very unusual to find an oval example. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and has fairly simple copper handles to the ends. There is slight pitting to the copper, on the interior of the base, but otherwise the piece is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Length of pan 42.3cm. Overall length including the handles 53.3cm. Width 34cm. Depth 12cm.
