An unusual, 19th century, copper mould. This is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. Originally it would have been used mostly for ice cream as the three fittings around the rim would have been used to secure a lid in place. It could equally be used for cakes or any other moulded food and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used. The two tiered design is very elaborate and the mould would turn out well. It is in very good condition.
