https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesA very unusual, 19th century, French copper mould. This was probably for baking a cake. It is made from quite a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. It is stamped with a pattern number “1572” but there are no manufacturers marks. The mould is a very unusual shape with a Tudor Rose to the centre surrounded by six domes. There is some minor damage. There are small splits to some of the domes and there is also a split in the rim.
Dimensions: Length 23.4cm. Width 12cm. Height 8cm.
