Item Details

An unusual shaped, 19th century, steel herb or vegetable chopper. This is English and it dates from c.1860. It would most likely have been used for chopping in a bowl, due to the small, semi circular cutting edge on the blade and the extended leg to the handle. The handle is turned from oak and is attached by well made, brass fittings. The piece is in excellent condition and is still very sharp.
Dimensions: Length 29.5cm. Height 16.5cm. Diameter of handle 3.5cm.
