Item Details

A very unusual, miniature, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip, two handled vase. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1820. Miniature pieces of this period are very hard to find. It is decorated to the rim, in white relief, with two classical subjects which are divided by anthemion and stylised flowers. Beneath this is a wide band of acanthus and there is a narrow laurel and berry border to the foot. The reliefs are very good quality and the piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 7.6cm. Diameter 5.2cm.
