Item Details

A very small, 19th century, English copper saucepan and cover. This is stamped, to the base, “A & N C.S.L” within an oval, beneath a large “W”. This is the mark of the Army and Navy Co-Operative Society Ltd. which was started in 1871 to provide good quality goods, at reasonable prices, to the military and navy. This pan is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. There is very slight pitting to the steel handles but otherwise it is in very good condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Depth of pan 7cm. Diameter of pan 9.4cm. Overall length of pan and handle 17.8cm.
