Item Details

A very small, French copper casserole and cover. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1900. It has unusually large steel handles for the size of the pan, and these are attached by copper rivets. The benefit of these would be that, as the pot is so small, you can hold the handles further away from the heat of the pot. There is very slight pitting to the handles, from use, but generally the piece is in very good condition, and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Depth of pan 6.5cm. Height including the lid 9.5cm. Diameter of pan 12.7cm. Width across the handles 21.2cm.
